The Gluecksburg Castle

Gluecksburg is a fine little health resort in a beautiful setting directly on the Baltic coast. The translation of Gluecksburg is "Happycastle" (Glueck = luck, happiness; Burg = castle), and no doubt, if you like historical sites, you will enjoy visiting the landmark of this town, the Gluecksburg Castle, which is one of the most significant castles in nothern Europe.
The cafés and restaurants there are always worth visiting. Also, don't miss seeing (and smelling!) the gorgeous rose gardens surrounding it, which were founded and raised by the world famous rose-breeder Jensen; there is a lovely little shop there which will interest all friends of roses and gardening.
